FAQs
FAQs
- Where are you located? Do you ship outside of India?
We are located in a village nestled in the outskirts of Pune, Maharashtra.
Currently we ship in India only.
- Why powders?
So that you control the dose & frequency.
Vit.C (ascorbic acid) is never taken in milligram doses, but always in GRAMS.
And take it as many times as you may need for optimal well-being & health.
To achieve therapeutic Klenner-dosages, one will be required to consume lots of tablets & capsules that has its own disadvantages of excipients, binders, fillers that add to the toxic overload to the body & defeats the purpose of healing & detoxing.
Powders also afford wider flexibility & versatility of use for various purposes: Fevers, Nebulizing, Wounds, Cuts, Injuries, C-Flush, Detox, Enema, Eye Drops, Nasal Drops, Snorting, DIY serums, Cooking, Food Preservative, Baking, Add to Juices or Smoothies, etc...
Vitamin C has a half-life in the body of around 30 minutes. This means that taking a large amount at once is much less useful than spreading dosing during the day. Some people prefer taking vitamin C in tablet form as ascorbic acid. Some prefer using sodium ascorbate powder and adding it to water, this is a pH neutral form, and it’s generally cheaper.
Our Fine Powder Vitamin C is of the purest quality good enough for IV.
- Why so expensive?
In my quest to procure the best for my parents & loved ones, we invested heavily to try out from the cheapest to the most expensive.
There were many which had no assurance of being free from heavy-metals, soy, gluten & in fact, their labels & certificates mentioned that it may contain gluten as it was handled & processed in such a facility.
Amazon products prices fluctuated on a weekly, if not daily basis & I needed a stable, assured availability at a stable price. This was another major reason to procure enough stock for my parents, self & loved ones.
Some powders were visibly grainy, like sand with specks of browns, blacks, yellows & wouldn't dissolve.
After much research & heavy investments & not wanting to compromise & take chances with the health of my parents & loved ones, what with the toxins in the powder itself, set out to trace back the powder sourced & used by the pioneers Dr. Frederick R. Klenner & Dr. Robert F. Cathcart III, & was led to this.
- How LMA (Little Mermaid Apothecary) was born.... &
- Why "Support Research" (optional) on Checkout...
What I ended up procuring for my parents yrs ago, eventually my friends, believing & reposing a lot of faith in my research, ended up wanting to buy. I found myself left with developing this product, for months on end researching how to best store it, pack it as Ascorbic Acid is highly moisture sensitive & photo sensitive & heat sensitive.
After experimenting with various packaging options & with the need to carry bulk for longer travels, it made more sense to pack them in highest quality zip-lock pouches. To make it even more perfect & convenient, the measured scoop was added.
Various people eventually expressed the need to have smaller quantities for travel for a few days to few weeks, which led to having smaller quantities being made available to suit their travel, mobility & storing needs.
In the last 5 years, LMA has given away enormous amounts of Vit.C powder for free to the needy & sick if they were open to such a therapy –– household helps, to courier folks, to electrician, plumbers, gardeners, taxi drivers, so on & so forth .... and some as samples to try out... That will require another detailed volume, but for now, in brief, this is how LMA was born...
The above is also the reason why we have "Support Our Research" which is optional during checkout...so that LMA can continue to help the needy....This is a "Not-For-Profit" Enterprise.
This research & molecule is very close to my heart. This information, despite being tried, tested, proven billions of times in the last 90 years, even today, in the minds of the mainstream physicians, continues to be looked down upon with scorn, disbelief & evokes a "we have read about this, heard about this, this is till under trial & just eat a lemon or an orange" !!!!
This has been peer reviewed & documented for 90yrs but conveniently, a lot of documents are not made available & the Vit.C & Supplement experts' videos, channels etc. continues to be censored till date (Dr. Andrew Saul being their latest victim) & their websites taken down from servers & YET these physicians do not hesitate to give untested unproven v a c c i n e s in a heartbeat & nor the uninformed patients hesitate in taking the same.
- Why IV Therapy is "On Request"?
In my 5 years of working with the powdered form of C & IVs, I continue to come across many many people who spend hours asking questions on dose, frequency etc... what i found out after getting feedback that there's no significant difference, is that, they go home & take TOO LITTLE. And report back that it doesn't work. I realized that these are the kind of people that unintentionally, inadvertently malign & discredit this "primal panacea" & design it to FAIL & give it a bad name.
These are the same people who do not question the contents or the price before gulping the toxic allopathic drugs. The mainstream physicians are so categorical & PRECISE in their allopathic drug prescription--"Amoxicillin 250mg, 2 times a day for 3 days after meals...."
BUT, for VITAMINS, ESPECIALLY Vit.C, they NEVER tell the DOSE, FREQUENCY, AMOUNT...
Not wanting this to be suppressed again or discredited again, I take only select few who I assess will follow through the protocol & achieve their desired results.
These are also people who are aware that what landed them into trouble wasn't an overnight result & hence the health that they hope to achieve requires commitment, dedication, discipline, regularity & patience. Yet, Vitamin C, even in smallest amounts is such a gift that keeps on giving & with no known LD50 (lethal dose), it renders this molecule one of the safest & primal moleculesbthat existed in the evolutionary primordial soup.
Even so, the allegiance to Hippocratic Oath won't let anyone be turned away.
Well, there are always going to be those in the majority who will go home take a single 1g dose of Vit.C & feel not much difference, but there ARE some in the minority who have understood how this molecule works, why the need to take daily & frequently & adjust the dose & frequency as per their body's need & requirement, just like food.
Because indeed this IS food...and very personalized, individualized nutritional therapy--Just As It Should Be.
There is a greater pandemic that has been ravaging humanity for decades –– that of the diseases borne from the side-effects from the synthetic allopathic medicines & many OTC drugs.
Vitamins on the other hand are safe, effective & natural & so far no deaths reported due to effects or side-effects of vitamins.

- Why don't you recommend whole-food based Vitamin C?
A whole-food based Vitamin C is not the form that mammals produce naturally and is not safe for therapeutic Orthomolecular doses.
(Fun-Fact: humans used to produce their own Ascorbic Acid, but no longer do (thanks to the GLO Gene Mutation some 60 million years ago😒) so we believe & recommend that supplementation, with the right product in the right doses & the right frequency, is important).
Ascorbic acid not synthesized by man
Work on mammalian biosynthesis of ascorbic acid indicates that the vitamin C story as is generally accepted represents an over simplification of available evidence.8,9,10 This often leads to misinterpretations and false impressions. It has been proposed that the biochemical lesion which produces the human need for exogenous sources of ascorbic acid, is the absence of the active enzyme, 1-gulonolactone oxidase from the human liver.11 A defect or loss of the gene controlling the synthesis of this enzyme in man, blocks the final phase in the series for converting glucose to ascorbic acid. Virus can mutate cells, X-Rays can do it and it can occur by chance. Such a mutation could have happened, denying all progenies of this mutated animal the ability to produce ascorbic acid. Survival demanded ascorbic acid from an exogenous source. This is not remarkable. Other recognized genetic diseases in which a missing enzyme causes a pathological syndrome, in man, are phenylketonuria, galactosemia and alkaptonuria.
It is worthy to note that Sealock and Goodland have ascribed to ascorbic acid the faculty of being the necessary co-enzyme in the metabolic oxidation of tyrosine. The velocity of the oxidation in this reaction is dependent upon the concentration of vitamin C. Tyrosine is essential in breaking down protein to usable amino acid. The scorbutic guinea-pig’s liver is unable to oxidize tyrosine except in the presence of ascorbic acid. This suggests a lead in the study of the metabolic abnormality—Alkaptonuria—in humans. Ascorbic acid administration will correct the alkaptonuria of the scorbutic guinea pig. Its effect on human alkaptonuria has been inconsistent.
The reason: Inadequate use of ascorbic acid.
Bio-chemist Irwin Stone’s concept has practical value
The inability of man to manufacture his own ascorbic acid, due to genetic fault, has been called “hypoascorbemia” by Irwin Stone.12 This is another reason for abolishing the present concept of daily minimal requirements. The physiological requirements in man are no different from other mammals capable of carrying out this synthesis.
